This Father’s Day and every Father’s Day
Let us not forget the Dads who have an Angel Child or children
I am a Dad I can handle this I am tough and brave; it is MY job to be STRONG for the whole family. I CAN control my emotions????????????
Well that is what I have been told and I do my best to keep the tough guy persona going.
However, inside I am falling apart, the tears I hold back are drowning my very existence. Like all men we DO have emotions. We are not good at showing them but they are there and special days like Father’s Day, Birthday’s Anniversaries, Christmas are difficult for us as well. Please be understanding of us!!!!
To Be A Man in Grief
To be a man in grief,
Since “men don’t cry” and “men are strong”
It must be difficult to stand up to the test
And field calls and visitors so she can get some rest.
They always ask if she’s alright and what she’s going through,
But seldom take his hand and ask, “How are you?”
He hears her crying in the night and thinks his heart will break,
He dries her tears and comforts her, but “stays strong” for her sake.
It must be very difficult to start each day anew
And try to be so very brave. He lost his child too.
